Kidsafe NSW promotes child injury prevention and education in an effort to preserve and protect the lives of our children.
Getting Around
Keen Teens! 12-14 years old
The pursuit of independence can become a safety issue in early adolescence. Teach your child to be aware of the importance of behaving safely and responsibly when out in the community.
It is important at this age to discuss with your child the need to be kept informed of their whereabouts. They also need to know how to contact family and friends in an emergency and how to manage difficult situations or even something simple like a change of plans.
