Kidsafe House Tours

The demonstration safety house looks like a typical family home. As you move through the kitchen, bathroom, laundry and nursery, you can see information relevant to childhood hazards and injury prevention. The displays include a variety of safety and product information such as locks, nursery furniture, blind & glass safety as well as prevention of scalds, finger jams, choking & falls etc.

Road safety information & products are also on display. Find out about driveway, passenger, pedestrian & bicycle safety.

The demonstration playspace shows several ideas on safe design & creative spaces for outdoor play.

Self Guided Tours —following a short DVD presentation, visitors can take themselves on a tour through the demonstration safety house and gather information for their use.

Guided Tours —6-12 persons. Includes a DVD presentation, presentation and guided tour by the Home Safety Coordinator. There is opportunity for discussion and product sales.

Student Tours —6-12 students. Includes a DVD presentation, short talk and discussion.

Playground Tours — Guided and Self Guided Tours are available for the demonstration playspace.
