Kidsafe House
Kidsafe house is a demonstration house, displaying ideas of how to make a home environment a safer place for kids.
As you move through the house, information and displays highlight potential hazards in each room demonstrating ways to minimise those hazards.
Safety ideas are built into the living area, play space and swimming pool area.
If you are building or renovating, Kidsafe House has a guide on what can be done from the start, to "child proof" your home.
If you are concerned about safety issues in your current home, Kidsafe House provides ideas and demonstrates safe practices that may assist you to "child proof" your home.
Who is Kidsafe House for?
The information and displays at the house will interest those who
care about the safety of children. For public and professionals alike,
there is something to interest everyone! We would like to invite parents-to-be,
parents, grandparents, students, child-care and health professionals
to tour the house.
We have ideas to help people make informed choices about safety for a range of settings - the home, family day-care homes and child care centres.
