Product Safety Australia have recalled the IKEA—LATTJO Bat Cape Dress-Up Costume due to a potential strangulation hazard.

The IKEA—LATTJO Bat Cape Dress-Up Costume was sold at IKEA stores from the 1st November 2015 - 10th February 2016.

The fault is that the cape's neck fastener does not have a 'quick-release' design and may become stuck and difficult to detach in an emergency.

The hazard is that if the cape's neck fastener cannot be readily detached in an emergency, it may pose a strangulation hazard to the user.

Consumers should immediately stop children from playing with the LATTJO Bat cape and return it to any IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase (such as a receipt) is not required.
