The Kidsafe NSW Playground Advisory Unit (PAU) has developed a comprehensive schedule of presentations for various professionals, service providers and organisations.
Presentations allow service providers and industry representatives to network together and keep up-to-date on latest trends and issues; Australian Standards; and best practice developments in the playground industry. It also provides the skills and knowledge required to enable those responsible for the management and operation of playgrounds to carry out their responsibilities appropriately, efficiently and effectively.
Comprehensive Playground Inspection Refresher Course (non-accredited)
This course provides latest information on relevant Australian Standards and revises comprehensive inspection techniques.
Suitable for anyone who has previous comprehensive inspection training.
Safe and Creative Backyards for Family Day Care
2 hour presentation
Specifically for home based education and care settings, this presentation offers a basic understanding of the Australian Standards and Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011. The focus is on challenges, hazards, risk assessment, inspection routines and inexpensive play inclusions for small playspaces. This presentation is suitable for educators and child development officers of Family Day Care Schemes.
