The Playground Advisory Unit (PAU) is available to schools for inspection, maintenance, design and planning advice for existing and new playspaces. Please do not hesitate to contact the PAU on 02 9845 0890.

A series of concept plans for outdoor spaces of schools, including deck seating, outdoor classrooms, amphitheatres, boardwalks and outdoor chess.

Includes Playspace Resource Kit, Concept Designs for Schools, Fact Sheets, Resource Directory, Checklists & Site Inventory Forms

Plants for Playspaces:
Includes listings of suggested shade trees, shrubs, wind breaks, screening, fragrance, play props, bush tucker & edible plants and an extensive poisonous plants list.

Shade Requirements for Schools - Providing adequate shade is an important element in any school's sun protection strategy. Contact the Cancer Council NSW for information and resources including policy guidelines, classroom activities, and information for teachers and parents.
Playing It Safe - Guidelines for the installation and maintenance of playground equipment in NSW government schools. NB: School communities can access this information within schools using the DET Intranet.
