Media Campaign
As part of the Child Pedestrian Safety In Communities project, the "kids need a hand in traffic" media campaign is a gentle reminder for parents and carers to supervise their children in and around traffic. This supervision includes physically holding hands and accompanying and teaching children how to negotiate the traffic environment.
Media types were selected to impact the priority local government areas of the project, reaching people in newspapers, through print advertising, in and around traffic with bus sides, and via the use of radio.
Resources have also been developed to support the media campaign.
