Kidsafe NSW has been involved in the development of road safety publications on the following issues and are available for you to download free of charge:

Keeping Kids safe on and around the road is a brochure produced by Kidsafe NSW which covers a range of areas such as pedestrian and passenger safety, driveways, parked cars and kids on wheels.
A road to child safety is an A4 size poster with summarised information about safe play, passenger safety, bicycle safety and small wheels, driveway safety, pedestrian safety and parked cars. The information on this poster was agreed to and signed off by the Child Road Safety Initiative Steering Committee which includes representatives from key road safety agencies including the RTA and the MAA.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau have produced a resource called Road safety It's not child's play: A guide for parents with children under five. It is a very simple easy to read 12 page booklet outlining why children behave the way they do in traffic and steps to take in order to guard your children in traffic.
The RTA have produced a 14 page booklet called Road safety: A guide for parents and carers of children 0 to 5 years. It contains information on establishing road safety practices and routines, why young children are at risk, pedestrian safety, passenger safety and playing safety (bicycle helmets). NOTE: This file is 5MB and will take a while to download.
As part of the Child Pedestrian Safety In Communities Project, a number of information sheets addressing child pedestrian safety have been developed.
These resources target parents and carers of children aged between 5 and 10 years of age.

A parents' guide to kidsafe cars is a comprehensive 28 page book which contains information on the following:

- Common mistakes in using and fitting child restraints

- General safety in the car
- Choosing the car/ vehicle to fit your family

A parents' guide to child restraints and car safety is a 2 page DL flyer that summarises the information in A parents' guide to kidsafe cars. It contains information on types of restraints, what to consider when buying a child restraint and when to move children to the next type of restraint. Where are your kids? Child safety in your driveway is a 4 page brochure on driveway safety outlining the facts and also what you can do to prevent such a tragedy.

Hot cars - Never leave children alone in a car is a 2 page DL flyer that has been designed to provide information to parents about the dangers of leaving children alone in the car. Did you know that on a typical summer's day, the temperature inside a parked car can be 30 to 40 degrees hotter than the outside temperature? Hot cars is also available in the following languages:
