Small Grants
As part of the Child Pedestrian Safety In Communities Project, a number of small grants were offered to community groups and / or organisations within the priority local government areas of the project. The purpose of the small projects is to support and enhance local child pedestrian safety initiatives, targeting parents and carers of children aged between 5 and 10 years of age.
The grants for the small projects were awarded on a competitive basis according to the selection criteria and quality of the proposal. The Small Grants Committee included the Project Coordinator (Kidsafe NSW) and representatives from the Motor Accidents Authority, Road and Traffic Authority, Early Childhood Road Safety Education Program, and NSW Health - Injury Prevention and Policy Unit.
The average amount allocated to small projects was $5,000.
