Kidsafe NSW promotes child injury prevention and education in an effort to preserve and protect the lives of our children.

Chores
Keen Teens! 12-14 years old
In preparation for paid employment in the future you can encourage work-ready behaviours around the home. Assign them chores so they understand the importance of responsibility and time management. For example, have your young person cook one healthy meal a week for the family. Cooking is fun, it provides a positive learning experience, promotes healthy conscious choices and encourages planning.
Your child will be expected to perform this or other tasks each week, and will gain a sense of achievement through completing tasks.
