Poisoning Prevention
Every year thousands of children need medical care for poisoning from products commonly found in and around the home. Most accidental poisonings occur to children younger than five, with children aged one to three most at risk. The Poisons Information Centre receives many phone calls from concerned parents or carers of young children.
To learn more about how to prevent poisoning in children download the Kidsafe NSW information sheet titled - Poisoning Prevention
Parents and carers can find out more about button battery safety on The Sydney Children's Hospital Network website.
