Recall- Kmart Australia Limited—Girls Nightwear

Product Safety Australia have recalled a range of Kmart Girls Nightwear due to the nightwear not complying with the mandatory standard for children's nightwear, AS/NZS 1249:2003, as amended by the Regulation.

The following styles have been recalled:

  • Girls Pink Cupcake Nightie, Sizes 1-6, Style Number 121372
  • Girls Soft Green Party Nightie, Sizes 1-6, Style Number 121372
  • Girls Purple Zebra Nightie, sizes 7 – 16, Style Number: 121377
  • Girls Green Sleep Nightie, sizes 7 -16, Style Number: 121377
  • Girls apricot cat Pyjama, sizes 1 – 6, Style Number: 230578

The fault is that the garments do not comply with the mandatory standard for children's nightwear, AS/NZS 1249:2003, as amended by the Regulation.

The hazard is that testing has shown that the garments fail to meet the mandatory standard for children's nightwear.

The garments were sold nationally at Kmart stores from the 10th August 2015 - 4th September 2015 and the 6th July 2015 - 10th September 2015.

Consumers should cease using these products immediately and return the product to any Kmart store for a full refund.
