Product Safety Australia have recalled the Mamas & Papas Armadillo Flip and Armadillo Flip XT strollers due to a potential fall from pram hazard.

The Mamas & Papas — Armadillo Flip and Armadillo Flip XT strollers were sold nationally via the Mamas and Pappas website from the 1 August 2014 - 30 April 2016.

The defect is that under certain conditions, when in the parent facing position, a latch may slip and cause the seatback to tip backwards. The seatback tip cannot occur when the infant is in the forward facing position or where a basinet attachment is used.

The hazard is that if the safety harness is not used or is incorrectly used, there is the potential for the infant to fall out of the stroller and be injured. No injuries have been recorded to date.

Owners of the Armadillo Flip and Flip XT strollers will be contacted by letter or telephone to arrange a repair of the stroller.

Until your stroller has been fixed, do not use it on rough terrain in the parent-facing position. Always ensure the infant is securely strapped in using the safety harness.

If you are not contacted directly, please call Exquira on 1300 814 557, or email  info@exquira.com.au (link sends e-mail)to arrange a time for the fix to be applied.
